Brief Background
I entered HGSE after completing graduate work in psychology and business, earning an MA and MBA respectively from FAMU.
My high school, Rickards High School in northern Florida, provided a wonderful education that both prepared me for graduate study and fostered my interest in the unique benefits and challenges of effective urban education. HGSE's Communities, Culture, and Education program affords me the opportunity to exlplore deeply the connections between my urban roots and effective teaching and learning. It is gaining this deep understanding that drives me to further research.
